1a) List two reasons why teens are reluctant to call helplines despite the promise of anonymity and professional help.
The two reasons are the teens, who are mostly students in secondary 3 and 4, revealed that they would rather not confide in strangers. They also think it is wimpy to call.Of the 46 surveyed, 39 chose friends as one of the top two avenues they would turn to intimes of crisis.Others say that they would speak first to their parents, siblingsor even teachers.Only two said they would dial for help.

b) According to Ms Lily Chu, how does Touch Leadership and Mentoring prefer to help troubled teens?
She said that "we prefer to help the youths through more direct, effective means, such as educational workshops in school, face-to-face counselling and home visit"

2) Have you confided in your friends or family members about the problems you face in school/ life? Why or why not?
No, i think that we as teenagers should solve our own problems. This is because we should be responsibility and learn to solve for our own problems that we face.We must not trouble others so that we may seems to be more mature. When we are grown up, we must face our problems ourself, we don't tend to talk to others about our problems that comes in our life.

Have you been betrayed by your friends before? If yes, how? (You may change the names of the people involved for privacy)
Yes, i've been betrayed by my friends before. This is when i ask my friend to teach me doing my maths homework, but in the end, he teach me the wrong thing. And the next day, i get scolded by my teacher because i do it wrongly.

The reasons for building the platform doors at the MRT stations is because to prevent commuters from from falling onto the tracks intentionally or otherwise. This is because there is an average of 16 cases a year in 2004 and 2005 to 31 in 2007.

Article: “Government acts to curb younger smokers”

1)What are some measures by the government to curb smoking?
The measures are penalty of $10,000 of fines and a suspension of the licence for up to six months for the person who sold the tobacco products. Yet another proposed measure is that places that sell health and youth-centric products such as chinese medicines halls and game arcades will barred from selling tobacco products. And this will shrink the number of tobacco retailers.Sellers who sell to buyers in school uniform or those clearly aged 12 or under will have their licences suspended.

2)How successful do you think these measures would be? Support your answer with reasons.
I think that this measures will success to some extent because although the rules are already applied, people would not obey to it. It is a certain habit for the people to not follow rules and regulations. Sellers selling to those aged under 12 would have to be banned for good and also, selling the cigarettes in packs of 20 is much expensive than those in packs of 10. This would affect the students and some buyers because it is much expensive which would give them difficulties to buy the cigarettes. Students usually buy the cigarette which isb a contra-bands from illegal sellers and it would be good if the government try to chase those illegal sellers which sells contra-bands.

Now drug trafficking are not just for adult or men, even teenagers and women are now getting caught up by in this dangerous. The penalty for drug trafficking in Singapore is severe.

b)Why are Singaporeans increasingly being used as " drug mules"?
This is because Singaporeans do not need a visa for many places, and they are also less likely to be checked because Sinagpore's reputation for being tough on drugs.

2)What will you do if find out that one of your friends is selling drugs?
How will you react if someone tries to sell you drugs?
If i were to find out that one of my friends is selling drugs, i would try to talk to him and ask him to stop selling those drugs because if he were to get caught by the police, he will have to go to the court and will get the charges from the court.

Cheerleading is an expensive sports because of props and stuffs.Uniforms are tailer-made
to the exact measurements of each cheerleader while shoes and pom-poms have to be imported from United State or Taiwan.Medical insurance is encourage because of the high risk injury.

b)What makes cheerleading such a tough sport?
What makes the cheerleading such a tough sports is that they have to put in hours of time for practices several time a week. Never minding the blood, sweat, and tumbling stunt that is part of the routine.

2)What is your opinion of cheerleading? If given a chance, would you join cheerleading?Why/why not?
If i were given a chance to join the cheerleading, i would not join because cheerleading is type of sports that usually girls like. Boys don't usually cheer, but boys play sports.Boys sometimes to them, this can be a embarrassing sports cos this is more to a girly sports.(:Cheerleading can also be a dangerous sports because it can easily injure a person if you did not do it correctly. To join cheerleading,an individual person need to have a lighter weight and strong muscular body.(:Cheerleading is suitable for girl because they look more sex and hot.(:So, i wont join the b=cheerleading!(:
